Hi! My name is Breeanna. I’m a San Diego-based copyeditor and proofreader passionate about words of all kinds, though I do especially enjoy when they tell a story. I’ve spent a lot of time working on marketing copy but I’ve also edited poetry and fiction, as well as various scripts (for both stage and screen) during my time at UC San Diego. Additionally, I have written pieces all across the same spectrum, with most of my effort going toward copy and creative writing.

Remember those dreaded peer-review days in school, when we’d have to read each other’s papers and offer feedback? I never dreaded them. I enjoyed them, actually. As I grew older, that helped me realize editing just might be the right path for me. My love of the craft has never gone away and I enjoy every chance I get to utilize it in my work.

Making writing better is what I do, and it’s all I want to do, in whatever format that writing will take—whether that be fiction, non-fiction, journalism, marketing copy… you name it!
